Big Raven is a half-sister to G1SWr Competitionofideas (Speightstown) making her yearling filly by Speightstown a very close relation. The Speightstown/Danzig-line cross has produced a number of top class horses including G1SWrs Seek Again and Jersey Town. This filly is a nicely balanced type built in the mold of her sire. Dance With Another hails from the prolific European female family of G1SWr & G1 producer Quarter Moon (1st dam) & multiple G1 producer Jude (2nd dam). The tail female family traces back to the champion Aga Khan foundation mare Mumtaz Mahal (the "Flying Filly"; illustrious descendants include Mahmoud, Nasrullah, Royal Charger, Shergar among others). A Medaglia filly out of this female family fills the mind with exciting near and long-term possibilities. This is a very active family in terms of updates to the catalogue page and has recently been augmented by Diamond Sparkle's G3 stakes placing in the Ontario Colleen S. on 8/29. Medaglia d'Oro over Danehill line mares has produced such G1SWrs as Vancouver and Astern and this filly glides across the ground with easy ground-covering movement. Inside Passage is a half-sister to the dam of GOOD MAGIC (Curlin), making her 2019 Curlin colt a very close relation to this champion MG1SWr & new sire. This colt has an athletic, racy build with looks resembling his sire. Lemon Gin produced a stakes winner with her first foal (Best of Me, by Super Saver). She is a half-sister to G1SWrs WITHOUT PAROLE & TAMARKUZ (Speightstown), making her 2019 Speightstown colt a very close relation to G1SWr and new sire Tamarkuz. London Mist is a half-sister to MGSW LAST GUNFIGHTER (First Samurai) and produced a stakes horse with her second foal (G2SP 2yo Dancing Belle, by First Samurai). Her 2019 colt is a son of Into Mischief, a sire from the Storm Cat sire line similar to the aforementioned family members. Into Mischief is the leading general sire of 2020 having produced numerous G1 stakes winners during the year including this year's Kentucky Derby winner Authentic. Into Mischief is a stallion reputed for imparting ability, speed and precocity and London Mist's imposing son of the stallion also has the size and scope of a horse that will get two turns. Mythical Bride is the dam of MG1SWr VINO ROSSO, making her 2019 colt a yearling full brother to the 2019 Eclipse Champion Older Male & B.C. Classic winner. This colt looks a lot like his big brother Vino. Book 2 Volver is the dam of 2020 SWr ATOMIC BLONDE (Scat Daddy). Atomic Blonde remains in training after a Spring break holiday and has been nominated for the upcoming G2 Noble Damsel to be run 9/26. Volver's 2019 colt is a good moving individual with a classy temperament and is bred on the proven G1-producing Galileo/Danehill Dancer cross. G1SWrs bred on this cross include Minding, The Gurkha and Alice Springs. Blossom Special is a half-sister to G1SWr MATERIALITY and G1SP/G2SWr MY MISS SOPHIA. Her 2019 filly has a slinky smooth, ground-covering walk. By Will Take Charge, a young sire son of Unbridled's Song exhibiting dirt/turf cross-over potential, this filly has a pedigree that sports similarities to My Miss Sophia (Unbridled's Song) who achieved a G1 placing on the turf in addition to her G2 stakes win on the dirt & 2nd in the G1 Kentucky Oaks. From the female family of Toussaud, Fact File's May-born 2yo filly by American Pharoah debuted on Aug 9th with an inspired 4th place finish against a classy Saratoga maiden special weight field, beaten only 3/4 of a length after an imperfect trip. Fact File's 2019 filly is by Pioneerof the Nile, so bred along similar lines to this promising 2yo filly. Havana Moon achieved black-type in France and is represented in 2020 by her first yearling, a speedy-looking daughter of More Than Ready. The cross of More Than Ready with A.P. Indy line mares has produced such GSWrs as Catholic Boy, Room Service and Hungry Island. My Perfect Ten's first foal, a Scat Daddy filly, showed enough promise in a smart debut score to warrant nominations to the French filly classics. Although she did not ultimately participate in the classics, this filly provided a hint of her stakes-winning dam's potential to produce a quality racehorse. The cross of More Than Ready with Sadlers Wells line mares has produced such GSWrs as Regally Ready, Phelan Ready and Pluck. My Perfect Ten's 2019 filly is an early-looking, well-bodied type built in the mold of her sire More Than Ready. Street Rumor is a daughter of exciting broodmare sire Street Sense (broodmare sire of MG1SW Roaring Lion). The mare has produced three winners from three starters and her 4th foal is a 2yo filly by Quality Road who is on the work tab and appears a pending debutant. Street Rumor's 2019 colt is a strapping son of Honor Code, sire of G1SW Honor A P who ran 4th in this year's Kentucky Derby after a troubled trip. Book 3 Fair Huntress is a half-sister to G3SW & G1 stakes producer Devil by Design. Her 2019 colt is a good-moving son of Cairo Prince, the leading 3rd crop sire in terms of black-type horses. This colt is her first foal and she has an American Pharoah colt foal of 2020. Luna Vega was a G2SW/G1SP racemare and her 2019 colt is a brawny son of Violence. Violence is in the midst of a scorching hot streak with his progeny, having produced three G1SWrs since the middle of June including recent G1 Del Mar Futurity winner Dr Schivel. Strombolian is a full-sister to stakes winner JAGUAR PAW and this 2019 colt by Tamarkuz is her first foal. Strum is a full-sister to the talented Preakness 4th Stradivari and her 2019 foal is a daughter of Maclean's Music. This filly is from the stallion's first $25k crop following his first crop son Cloud Computing's Classic score in the G1 Preakness S. Maclean's Music is also the sire of Jackie's Warrior who produced a stunning performance to win this year's G1 Hopeful S. Book 5 Lilies So Fair is a Giant's Causeway half-sister to G1SWr MATERIALITY and G1SP/G2SWr MY MISS SOPHIA. Her 2019 filly is a good-looking daughter of Dialed In bred on a cross that duplicates Storm Cat. This inbreeding of Storm Cat has proven to be a highly successful pattern for Dialed In with some of his best progeny bred on a similar cross including stakes horses Ms Locust Point, The Tabulator & Chalon. Southern Strike produced a stakes winner with her first foal (Fila Primera, by War Front). Her 2019 filly is a leggy, May-born filly by Will Take Charge who is currently ranked among the top 5 on the third-crop sires list |
